If youre the goto person the one who answers the questions with the knowhow to keep facilities running like clockwork we have an opportunity for Sewage Treatment Plant / Water Treatment Plant Operator at our clients sites in the Bowen Basin working 14days on and 7 days off for 11 hours FlyInFlyOut roster from Brisbane or drive in and out from Mackay and surrounds.
You will be responsible for:
- Inspecting and maintaining the treatment plant systems on a daily basis to ensure effective operations
- Supporting the maintenance and operation of filtering and chemical treatment processes
- Inspecting servicing and repairing components of the water treatment plant including water intakes pipes water storage vessels chemical treatment equipment controls circulation pumps boilers heat exchanges and valves
- Ensuring that servicing and major repairs are arranged in a timely manner.
- Regular upkeep of daily logs & reports to ensure records are well maintained
Who are we looking for:
- Certificate III of Water and Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator Program
- Open C class driving license (Manual)
- Minimum of 2 years experience in operating a plant; experience in water sampling and testing techniques inspection procedures water and sanitation systems management.
- Australian Citizenship or full Australian working rights
- Ability to undergo a preemployment medical including drug & alcohol testing and police check
- Strong safety awareness and excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to work autonomously and in a busy team to meet deadlines
- A strong commitment to high standards of customer service and integrity
