Category/Commodity Manager
1. Develop and implement the category strategy to address the everevolving geopolitical challenges and tariff situation to build a resilient supply chain for the battery cell and pack category
2. Evaluate product lifecycle volumes and product footprint to achieve BOM resiliency to mitigate single source scenario on key product lines
3. Quarterly negotiation with key battery pack and cell suppliers to drive the cost reduction activities for the sourcing and procurement team
4. Lead negotiations on New Product Introduction (NPI) programs with key suppliers and support the program team during the development phase before the product is launched into mass production.
5. Cochair the Strategic Component Team (SCT) to drive technical commercial and operations excellence initiatives to be the best in class within the battery category. Lead biweekly SCT meetings to educate stakeholders on new trends in the industry changes in the category strategy technical roadmaps etc.
6. Work closely with the Global Supply Planning team to identify and mitigate any supply related risks and close the quarterly revenue gap on a weekly basis
7. Work closely with the regulatory and product compliance team to ensure the Zebra product complies with all the latest regulatory requirements and certifications within the battery industry
8. Keep all the systems and tools up to date with the latest and greatest information with the category space such as PCM price MOQ LT upload close the gap items and SharePoint sites. Set up new suppliers Audit requests etc. in the system
9. Work with other category managers engineering program management product management to address issues within the category.
