Job Description
Surgical Associates offers general surgery services that deal with abdominal organs soft tissue masses and traumatic injuries. Our General Surgeon is always on call at Springfield Hospital for urgent/emergent surgery such as appendectomy surgery to relieve bowel obstruction or repair of complex lacerations. Some commonly performed surgical procedures include:
- Colonoscopy
- Upper GI Endoscopy
- Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (removal of the gallbladder)
- Soft Tissue Mass Excision (Lipomas cysts)
- Open and Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia Repair
- Open and Laparoscopic Umbilical Hernia Repair
- Open and Laparoscopic Incisional Hernia Repair
- Excisional Biopsies
- Hemorrhoid Procedures
- Oncologic Surgery for Breast or Colon Cancer
- Antireflux Surgery
- Skin Grafting
Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. RTO REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD WILL NOT BE APPROVED!! NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better).
NonBillable Orientation: 0hrs
OT: NO MULTIPLIER. OT paid at flat hourly rate
Holiday CallBack multipliers: 1.25%

Requirement description :
- 2 years of current CST experience in a hospital setting Required
- ENDO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
- NBSTSA Required Equivalent Cert not Accepted
- Previous Travel Preferred
- Bachelor Degree Preferred
- This is a small community without public transport. Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle. This is a firm requirement.
- Work History
- Skills Checklist (pertinent to position) current to 1 year
- 1 Supervisory Signed Reference (from within the past two years of employment)
- License/Certifications MUST be uploaded with profile (NBSTSA BLS Facility will not pend license/certs)
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
- BLS (AHA)
- NBSTSA
ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :
Weekend Requirements : 12 weekends/month
On Call Requirements : 12 days/week
