Job Description
Job Title: Physical Therapist (PT)
Job Type: Contract
Location: Union NJ
Position Overview
The Physical Therapist primarily provides outpatient rehabilitation services in an inhome setting for older adults
This could be in a patients private residence or in an independent living facility room.
The position offers a flexible schedule and work environment across various settings
Key Responsibilities
- Assess develop and deliver physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation
- Implement individualized therapy programs to restore reinforce and enhance performance
- Educate patients and caregivers on skills essential for promoting independence and productivity
- Conduct patient evaluations including history systems review and appropriate tests
- Develop treatment goals and methods in collaboration with patients and caregivers
- Provide various therapeutic techniques including:
- Therapeutic exercise
- Functional training
- Manual therapy
- Airway clearance techniques
- Health and wellness programming
- Falls assessment and interventions
Skills Required
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Physical Demands
- The job involves frequent standing walking and occasional sitting. It requires the ability to lift carry push and pull up to 50 pounds
- This position combines clinical expertise with a focus on inhome care allowing Physical Therapists to treat patients in their most functional environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice
