Job Description
Position: Pharmacy Technician
Start Date: 3/3/2025
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: Gilbert AZ 85234
Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Days 8
Shift Notes: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM or 1:30 PM 10:00 PM/40 hours scheduled/32 hours guaranteed/the client is allowed to cancel up to 1 shift per week/Must be willing to float to units where experienced
Weekend Requirements: Weekend schedule to be determined by facility
OnCall Requirements: Oncall schedule to be determined by facility

- Learning modules must be completed before the start of the assignment.
- Nonbillable hours have been adjusted to reflect 16 hours for each assignment.
- Client or Vendor may cancel an Assignment in progress with 7 days written notice without penalty.
** The client will not approve RTO within the first two weeks or holidays. Can not exceed 7 days.

This position will work under the supervision of the pharmacist performing routine duties in packaging distribution nonsterile compounding and recordkeeping of pharmaceutical supplies. Serves as a liaison between the customer and the pharmacist. Becomes proficient in preparing compounded intravenous medications total parenteral nutrition products and chemotherapeutic agents within compliance with USP regulations. Effectively uses pharmacy computer systems to investigate and respond to missing medication requests. Consistently demonstrates an ability to assess a situation consider alternatives and choose the appropriate course of action. May educate and train peer Pharmacy Technicians Technician Externs Technician Trainees and volunteers. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS- AZ State Board of Pharmacy License and National Pharmacy Technician Certification REQUIRED
- Minimum 24 months of current Acute Pharmacy Technician experience REQUIRED
- Sterile compounding with sterile hazardous compounding experience REQUIRED
- Certifications must be American Heart Association OR American Red Cross and active upon submission MUST BE INCLUDED IN SUBMISSION REQUIRED
- No License Hits REQUIRED
- Travel experience Preferred
