Job Description
Position: Nuclear MedicineTechnologist
Start Date: 2/17/2025
Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: Saginaw MI 48601
Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Varied 8
Shift Notes: Day Shift: Variable 6a7a8a or 9a (40 hour guarantee)
Weekend Requirements: Rotating weekend coverage and rotating ON Call
OnCall Requirements: Rotating includes main dept and PET
COVID Vaccination: na
Travel Policy: Candidates Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates 50mile radius restriction)

Dress Code: Matching Scrubs of any color

This position performs a variety of technical procedures that require the use of independent judgment ingenuity and initiative. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist should know Nuclear Medicine Instrumentation which includes the use of gamma cameras (both planar and SPECT) PET Radiation detectors/counters dose calibrators and the Quality Control of all equipment. The technologist should know Radiation Safety Practices/Handling patient and occupational exposures dosimetry as low as (is) reasonably achievable (ALARA) techniques that include time distance and shielding. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) guidelines about handling administering and transportation of radioactive materials. The technologist should have knowledge about Radiopharmacy which includes safe administration preparation measurement and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals for Diagnostic and/or Therapeutic purposes.
