Senior Frontend Engineer (f/m/d)
The role:
As our Senior Frontend Engineer youll be the wizard behind the curtain making our marketplaces smooth intuitive and downright delightful. Youll be a key member of our talented Marketplace Team a team of 68 software engineers both frontend and backenddedicated to creating seamless impactful experiences on the xChange platform.
Reporting to our Engineering Manager and working closely with the Product and Design Teams youll focus on improving our Trading and Leasing platforms to increase transactions from our existing customers. Together youll refine and develop features that ensure our customers succeed and find value on our platform. In addition to handson development youll also get to mentor junior engineers and lead crossteam projects driving technical excellence across the organization.
The Location:
Ideally we are looking for a team member to join us in our Hamburg office in a hybrid setup. However this role is also open to remote candidates located in Germany or the EU as long as you already hold a valid work permit for your location.
Your responsibilities in a nutshell:
- You build it you run it: Design and build new features as part of your engineering team owning the process from start to finish.
- Collaborate closely with Product Business and Design teams to challenge maintain and enhance existing features.
- Work on cuttingedge modern technologies while contributing to a dynamic forwardthinking organization identify technical debts and offer sustainable solutions.
- Optimize our coding processes and push the boundaries of our toolset and architecture.
- Mentor less experienced colleagues and help them to grow.
- Actively help drive the team and the company towards our technical vision.
Requirements
What makes you a great fit
- You bring 35 years of frontend engineering experience with Angular and reactive state management frameworks like NgRx.
- You bring handson experience with responsive design and ideally with version control systems (e.g. Git).
- You have proven experience mentoring junior engineers and driving crossteam collaboration.
- Youre familiar with tools like Storybook (or similar) for previewing designs and features.
- You have a good understanding of modern engineering processes and agile methodologies
- You treat testing as an inherent part of your work and Cypress Jest are no mystery to you.
- You are committed to writing highquality code and maintaining technical standards.
- You have a growth mindset actively seek opportunities to propose new ideas and bring a collaborative approach to problemsolving.
