About us

Hamilton Court FX founded in 2011 in London is one of the fastestgrowing companies in its sector. It has been featured in The Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 for its rapid sales growth. In 2020 driven by strong growth in the UK HCFX opened a new office in Milan becoming the first licensed SIM to offer FX investment services in Italy. The Milan office includes two regulated entities: a Societ dIntermediazione Mobiliare (SIM) and an Istituto di Pagamento (IdP). HCFX Italy helps companies and financial institutions manage their FX exposure enabling SMEs to trade globally by simplifying traditional procedures.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our operations in Italy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services with specific expertise in trading or financial markets. Successful candidate should have a deep understanding of the derivatives and payments market as well as comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements in Italy.

Key responsibilities

As a Chief Executive Officer you will be responsible for:

  • Providing strategic direction and leadership of SIM (including its Spanish Branch) and IdP driving growth and operational excellence
  • Providing leadership and managing key departments (front and back office) including Revenue Generation Operations Finance Risk Management and Compliance
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with the Bank of Italy and other regulatory bodies; and ensuring compliance with all local regulatory requirements and corporate governance
  • Maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders of the Italian entities (sole shareholders board members and employees)
  • Identifying assessing and managing financial and operational risks to safeguard the Italian entities assets and reputation
  • Overseeing financial performance including budgeting forecasting and financial planning to ensure the Italian entities financial health
  • Driving innovation within the Italian entities exploring new business opportunities products and markets to ensure continuous growth and competitiveness
  • Aligning Italian entities growth strategies and culture with the sole shareholders expectation
  • Providing ethical leadership and upholding integrity ethics and corporate social responsibility.

This role involves regular travel to London and Madrid for the business purposes.

Essential experience & skills

We want to set you up for success and we believe these experiences and skills will help you thrive in this role:

  • Minimum of 1015 years of experience in the Italian financial market with a thorough understanding of Italian regulations
  • Proven experience in a similar leadership role within financial services ideally with a background in trading or financial markets
  • Indepth knowledge of derivatives and payments markets
  • Strong governance and regulatory experience including legal aspects
  • Excellent communication and relationshipbuilding skills particularly with regulatory bodies
  • Fluent in Italian and proficient in English.
