This role will focus on a wide range of responsibilities from subcontract coordination and financial assistance to contract administration and project closeout. Job Description
As the Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for:
- Health Safety and Environment Subcontract Coordination: Oversee subcontractor activities ensuring compliance with health safety and environmental standards.
- Data Integrity and Document Control: Maintain the integrity of project data and ensure document control across the project systems.
- Project StartUp: Implement and manage the Swan project startup checklist to ensure all project elements are in place for success.
- Financial Assistance and Budget Control: Provide support with budget control monitoring and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Scope Development and Tender Cost Analysis: Assist the project team in developing scopes of work and analyzing tender costs for accuracy.
- Contract Administration: Issue and track subcontract agreements work orders RFIs VOs and drawing transmittal while maintaining registers for each project.
- Project CloseOut: Complete the Swan Project CloseOut Checklist ensuring that all project deliverables are met.
- Manual and Warranty Documentation: Prepare and finalize operation maintenance manuals and warranty documentation for project completion.
- Monthly Reporting: Ensure monthly project reporting requirements are met as per the operational financial calendar.
- AdHoc Administration Support: Assist the delivery team with administrative tasks as required.
- Internal Communication: Proactively communicate issues and collaborate with other staff members to find solutions.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years working as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role (e.g. contract administration project scheduling) in an Australian company.
Australian Certified.2 years of experience in financials including job costing forecasting and budget control.
General understanding of construction terms and processes.
Experience working within the ISO9001 framework.
Strong experience in MS Excel with advanced skills in managing live documents and updating registers.
Experience with contract administration and project scheduling particularly in a construction environment.
Proven ability to collate and analyze results update registers and communicate findings effectively.
Highlevel written and oral communication skills to engage with diverse teams and external parties.
