Job Description
RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.
We are hiring Senior Medical Scientist Blood Transfusion for our hospital in CorkIreland.
Responsibilities
- Be professionally responsible for all aspects of the post holder s own work.
- Contribute to the management function of the laboratory in the delivery of a high quality blood transfusion service in an efficient and costeffective manner
- Be responsible for specific areas of the blood transfusion laboratory activity as may be delegated from time to time.
- Participate in the timely and proper processing of all specimens received in the laboratory in accordance with procedures. To prioritise urgent work.
- Participate in preparation maintenance and practice of standard operating procedures.
- Participate in management and delivery of proper quality control procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor in Science (Applied Science) Honours degree or equivalent
- CORUregistered Medical Scientist
- Candidate must be from Irish/ UK and Portugal educated
- Eligible for membership of the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine
- Evidence of current technical competence and CPD in Blood Transfusion
- Experience of ISO15189 (essential) and JCI hospital accreditation (desirable)
- Have a minimum of 4 years experience as a Medical Scientist
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patientcentered and cando approach
- Enthusiastic flexible and collaborative
- Team player who is also able to work on their own inititaive
