Our headquarters are in Los Angeles California but we are a truly global company with teammembers across the U.S. Europe South America Africa and Asia/Pacific. We have gone to a fully remote working platform so that we can attract the worlds best talent.

The Role

Were looking for a Backend Engineer to join our expanding tech team. As part of our ongoing scaling efforts were seeking a proactive and autonomous individual to help maintain and enhance our backend services. Youll be working closely with other team members to contribute to both existing features and new developments ensuring that our systems run smoothly efficiently and at scale.

What Youll Do:

• Actively contribute to the development of new features including APIs and internal dashboards.
• Maintain and upgrade existing features to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the production environment.
• Upgrade and manage dependencies to keep our systems uptodate.
• Monitor the production environment to ensure reliability and performance.
• Work with thirdparty integrations (payment systems chat services OpenAI etc.).

About You:

• Proactive: Youre a selfstarter who can identify issues and opportunities without needing constant direction.
• Quick & Responsible: Youre able to deliver results fast while taking full ownership of your work.
• Autonomous: Youre capable of working independently while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Knowledgeable: You bring deep expertise in backend development particularly with Laravel Filament and MySQL.
• Experienced: You have significant experience working on distributed systems and have a strong grasp of best practices (e.g. testing code reviews documentation).

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in PHP Laravel MySQL and other backend technologies.
• Strong experience with API development and system integration.
• Knowledgeable in software engineering best practices (unit testing design documentation version control).
• Experience working in a scalable distributed environment.
• Solid understanding of thirdparty integrations (e.g. payment gateways chat systems etc.).

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with Filament.
• Familiarity with Vue.js or Nuxt.js.
• Experience building admin dashboards or working with CMS/CRM integrations.
• Fullstack development experience.
