Job Description
Job Title: Senior Network Consultant with Azure Networking Experience
Job Summary:
The Senior Network Consultant with Azure Networking Experience is responsible for designing implementing and managing network solutions that leverage Microsoft Azure. This role involves ensuring the security scalability and efficiency of network infrastructure as well as integrating Azure networking services with existing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Design and Architecture: Develop and maintain the architecture of network solutions including Azure Virtual Networks VPNs ExpressRoute and network security groups.
Implementation and Management: Implement and manage network infrastructure in Azure ensuring optimal configuration and performance.
Security and Compliance: Ensure the network environment complies with security policies and standards including regular audits and vulnerability assessments.
Integration: Integrate Azure networking services with onpremises and other cloud environments ensuring seamless connectivity and interoperability.
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for networkrelated issues including performance tuning and disaster recovery planning.
Documentation and Training: Create and maintain documentation for network processes and procedures and provide training to IT staff on Azure networking topics.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Expertise: Indepth knowledge of Azure networking services (e.g. Virtual Networks VPN Gateway ExpressRoute Azure Firewall).
Experience: Several years of experience in designing and managing network environments with a focus on Azure networking.
Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of security principles and best practices related to network infrastructure.
ProblemSolving Skills: Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with hybrid cloud environments integrating onpremises and Azure services.
Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g. PowerShell Terraform).
