Job Description
Job Title: LATAM Accountant
Location: Remote (Must be based in Latin America)
Work Schedule: Flexible based on executive needs typically Monday to Friday

Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced accountant based in Latin America to support U.S.based businesses with financial management reporting compliance and strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will have a recognized accounting certification (e.g. CPA Chartered Accountant or equivalent in their country) and at least 35 years of professional accounting experience.
This role requires strong analytical skills knowledge of international accounting standards and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (GAAP IFRS or countryspecific regulations).
- Manage accounts payable and receivable ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Oversee invoicing and reconciliation processes.
- Assist in financial forecasting budgeting and cost analysis to support business decisions.
- Prepare and present financial reports to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with LATAM tax regulations and assist with audits.
- Use QuickBooks and other accounting software to streamline financial processes.
- Work closely with U.S. teams to align financial operations across multiple regions.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications (Mandatory)
- Must be located in Latin America and have a strong understanding of LATAM tax laws and financial regulations.
- Accounting certification is required (e.g. CPA Chartered Accountant or equivalent in your country).
- 35 years of professional accounting experience in financial management reporting and compliance.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Xero or other accounting software.
- Strong understanding of GAAP IFRS and LATAMspecific financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Ability to work remotely and independently managing multiple tasks efficiently.

- Experience working with U.S. companies or handling crossborder financial transactions.
- Background in financial auditing or tax consulting.
- Familiarity with joblevel budgeting and strategic financial planning.
