Job Description
We are seeking a Pressure Die Casting Line Inspector to ensure the quality and precision of diecast components in our production line. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality inspection defect analysis and adherence to manufacturing standards in a diecasting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of diecast parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Use measuring instruments (e.g. micrometers calipers gauges CMM) to check product specifications.
- Identify document and classify casting defects (e.g. porosity shrinkage cold shuts cracks).
- Ensure compliance with ISO IATF or other industry standards during production.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to recommend corrective actions for defects.
- Perform firstpiece inprocess and final inspections to prevent defective products from reaching customers.
- Maintain detailed inspection reports and quality records for audits and traceability.
- Monitor machine parameters and casting process to identify deviations affecting quality.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action processes to reduce defects.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and 5S practices in the inspection area.
Requirements
- Experience: 13 years in quality inspection within a pressure die casting or metal manufacturing environment.
- Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering Metallurgy or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with diecasting defects and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools like Vernier calipers micrometers and height gauges.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and engineering drawings.
- Experience with quality standards such as ISO 9001 IATF 16949 or similar.
- Familiarity with diecasting defects and troubleshooting.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with production teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight quality control deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in automotive aerospace or industrial diecasting.
- Knowledge of CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and SPC (Statistical Process Control).
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
