Job Description
We are seeking a CMDB & IT Asset Management Architect to design implement and optimize our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks IT asset lifecycle management and CMDB architectures. They will play a critical role in ensuring data integrity automation and alignment with ITIL best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
CMDB & IT Asset Management Strategy:
- Define and implement a robust CMDB and IT Asset Management (ITAM) strategy ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop policies standards and best practices for CMDB governance data management and IT asset tracking.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL ISO 27001 and regulatory requirements for IT asset management.
CMDB & ITAM Implementation & Optimization:
- Design and architect CMDB data models for IT infrastructure applications and cloud environments.
- Lead the implementation and integration of CMDB and ITAM tools with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow BMC Helix or Ivanti.
- Establish automated discovery and reconciliation processes to maintain an accurate asset inventory.
- Define data governance policies to ensure data consistency completeness and accuracy.
Integration & Automation:
- Integrate CMDB with ITSM ITOM and IT security tools for enhanced visibility and automation.
- Implement APIs and automation scripts for asset discovery updates and reporting.
- Enable AI/MLdriven analytics for predictive asset lifecycle management and optimization.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Process Improvement:
- Work with IT security finance and procurement teams to streamline asset tracking and cost optimization.
- Provide insights into IT asset lifecycle management procurement decisions and contract renewals.
- Lead efforts to reduce IT costs minimize risks and improve operational efficiency through effective asset management.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in IT Computer Science or related field.
- ITIL v3/v4 certification (preferred).
- Experience in software license management (SAM) and compliance audits.
- Experience with CMDB and ITAM reporting & analytics.
