Software Engineer - JavaKotlin Fintech Payment Orchestration

We are looking for a mid level Software Engineer Fintech to join our Fintech team and build worldwide innovative Wallet Payment and AntiFraud solutions with us. Work and scale our internal Payments engine that would handle payments for the entire Delivery Hero. Some problems we are working on in the payments domain: 

• How do we improve the payment success rate

• How do we reduce the number of fraudulent transactions by keeping the payment journey simple

• How do we handle the high load during lunch and dinner peak time in a cost efficient way

• Which payment options to show customers for the best payment experience

As a Software Engineer Specialist (Kotlin and Java) you will be focused on building and maintaining the core payment features that enable us to manage the lifecycle of different payment flows as well ensuring consistency and reliability of payment operations.

• Develop multitenant multivertical payment service used across more than 70 countries

• Craft and maintain worldclass high traffic services and APIs in a team of experienced software engineers

• Build and maintain large scale highly distributed services with high efficiency resilience and reliability and take part in architectural decision making.

• Participate in code reviews and application debugging and diagnosis

• Practice modern software development methodologies such as continuous delivery TDD and scrum

• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to build scalable systems enabling innovative payment experiences

Qualifications :

• Knowledge and experience in building software systems 

• Knowledge and working experience with Kotlin Java Frameworks (Spring Boot Ktor) and SQL databases

• Knowledge and experience in test automation topics like unit testing integration testing etc.

• Experience in the design and implementation of APIs and design patterns

• Knowledge of secure code development principles.

• Degree in Computer Science or any related field

• Curiosity creative outsidethebox problem solving abilities and an eye for detail

Nice to have:
 

• Experience in the FinTech Banking or Payment industry is a plus.

• Knowledge and experience of the AWS environment.

• Experience with Docker Kubernetes Helm and Terraform.
