Led by Visas Chief Data Officer the Global Data Office coordinates highimpact complex companywide projects related to data business strategy critical investments policy development and marketplace execution. Working closely with Visas Chief Privacy Officer the Technology organization the wider data community and the full set of Visas global lines of business the Global Data Office is evolving Visas datarelated work with momentum and enthusiasm. Driven by its commitment to trusted use of data Visa is seeking enthusiastic leaders who are changeagents and passionate about the future of data around the world.
This position will support the VP Strategy Business Planning and Operations in the Global Data Office. Responsibilities include defining and constantly refreshing a comprehensive Data strategy aligning group priorities with overall corporate strategy and providing an input into the product roadmap. The role will also take on strategic projects focused on corporate development communications product strategy and market insights.
Essential Functions
Strategic Leadership:
- Define and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with Visas overall corporate strategy and goals.
- Coordinate the necessary content for a fastpaced monthly and quarterly planning cycle.
- Develop and socialize both (1) external and (2) internal narratives on Visas Data and AI strategy.
- Collaborate with the teams leadership and communication partners to harmonize messages product stories and case studies.
- Collaborate with the VP Strategy Business Planning and Operations and many crossfunctional partners to set group priorities use metrics to track progress and drive strategic initiatives.
Product Strategy:
- Provide strategic input into the product roadmap ensuring alignment with data strategy and business objectives.
- Regularly assess our priorities and resource allocation against corporate strategy goals working with partners in our peer organizations.
Market Insights and Analysis:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends opportunities and challenges related to data strategy and usage.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decisionmaking and business growth.
Project and Stakeholder Management:
- Lead and manage strategic crossfunctional projects. Ensure successful execution of datarelated priorities.
- Monitor and report on project progress identifying and addressing any issues or risks.
- Work closely with product teams technology organization and regional teams to ensure integration of datarelated efforts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive data strategy and initiatives.
Team Development:
- Mentor and develop team members fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Promote a collaborative and innovative work environment encouraging team members to contribute ideas and solutions.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 23 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 810 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 6 years of work experience with a PhD
Proven experience in leading highimpact complex projects and driving data strategy within a global organization.
Strong track record of working with crossfunctional teams including technology privacy and business units.
Experience in the payments industry or financial services is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
Indepth understanding of data strategy data governance and data management practices.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and analytics.
Excellent leadership and team management skills with a track record of developing and mentoring highperforming teams.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills capable of engaging with executive leadership and stakeholders at all levels.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
Proficiency in data analytics tools and software.
Additional Information :
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 510% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 196000.00 to 284450.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on jobrelated factors which may include knowledge skills experience and location. In addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
