Position Overview:
We are looking for a Manager Indirect Tax with strong expertise in GST Customs Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) Advance Authorization and Export Oriented Unit (EOU) management. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with over 8 years of experience in managing indirect tax functions. This role will involve overseeing indirect tax compliance planning audits and advisory aligning tax functions with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Indirect Tax Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure timely filing and reconciliation of GST returns (monthly quarterly and annual).
- Stay updated on GST laws and provide guidance on their impact on operations.
- EOU and Export Compliance:
- Oversee EOU compliance and Advance Authorization schemes for export businesses.
- Ensure compliance with Customs regulations and manage dutyfree import schemes.
- Customs and FTA Compliance:
- Monitor customs duties and ensure FTA compliance to optimize tax benefits.
- Advise on duty exemptions and preferential duty rates.
- GST Advisory and Planning:
- Provide strategic GST planning advice and optimize input tax credit (ITC).
- Assist in GST audits and ensure compliance with all requirements.
- Advance Authorization and Norms Fixation:
- Manage Advance Authorization licenses for export and dutyfree imports.
- Work with regulatory bodies for norms fixation and approvals.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Ensure proper documentation and track GST return reconciliations with books of accounts.
- Prepare regular management reports on tax compliance and risks.
- Indirect Tax Audits and Disputes:
- Lead GST audits manage queries from tax authorities and represent the company in tax disputes.
- Develop strategies for tax litigation and dispute resolution.
- Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Lead and mentor a team of indirect tax professionals.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (finance procurement legal) for tax compliance.
- Provide training on GST customs and indirect tax matters.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Experience: 8 years in Indirect Tax with expertise in GST Customs FTAs Advance Authorization and EOU management.
- SAP Knowledge: Proficiency in SAP for GST compliance and reconciliation.
- Reconciliation Skills: Experience in reconciling GST returns with books of accounts.
- Customs Expertise: Strong knowledge of customs duties import/export regulations and duty exemptions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration and reporting.
