The Opportunity: 

Visas Observability Team ensures the effective monitoring and logging of the companys infrastructure and applications. Utilizing a variety of tools to provide comprehensive observability which aids in proactively identifying and troubleshooting issues enhancing system performance and ensuring high availability.

Our latest project involves build inhouse enterprise level log management solutions. We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Software Engineer to lead this development effort. The ideal candidate will have extensive software engineering experience a deep understanding of database systems and the ability to drive projects to successful completion.

Responsibilities

• Participate in  the design and implementation of complex features in our log management system.

• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define requirements and deliverables.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.

• Develop and implement best practices and standards for deploying and managing applications.

• Perform regular code deployment to the production environment and automate CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.

• Implement application performance monitoring (e.g. memory latency) and proactively identify monitoring gaps on an ongoing basis.

• Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.

• Perform system and application performance tuning and optimization to maximize efficiency and scalability.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to bring innovative ideas to the team.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 23 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs. 

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications
2 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree OR 5 years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or a related field.
3 years of experience in software development with Bachelors or 1 years with Masters
Expertise in Golang and Java.
Good to have knowledge of C C and Python.
Indepth knowledge of observability tools such as Grafana OpenTelemetry Fluentbit etc.
Indepth knowledge of database technologies preferably Clickhouse or other columnar databases.
Proven track record of leading projects and delivering highquality software.
Strong problemsolving abilities and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Experience with Ansible is an added advantage.
Must have Unix knowledge.
