Our client is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to support commercial and industrial designbuild projects from conceptual design through construction. This role requires a degreed engineer with 5 years of relevant experience and proficiency in AutoCAD Revit and BIM software. The ideal candidate will collaborate with architects engineers and project managers to develop structural designs that meet project requirements while ensuring safety efficiency and costeffectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze structural systems for commercial and industrial buildings ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
- Develop and review structural drawings calculations and specifications using AutoCAD Revit and BIM software.
- Perform load calculations stress analysis and material selection for steel concrete wood and masonry structures.
- Collaborate with architects MEP engineers and contractors to integrate structural components into overall building designs.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess structural integrity and ensure construction compliance with design documents.
- Assist in value engineering and constructability reviews to optimize design solutions and project costs.
- Prepare and review engineering reports technical documents and construction submittals.
- Stay up to date with building codes zoning regulations and structural engineering best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5 years of experience in structural engineering specifically in commercial and industrial designbuild projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit and BIM software (experience with structural analysis software such as RISA SAP2000 or STAAD.Pro is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of steel concrete wood and masonry design principles.
- Familiarity with IBC ASCE AISC and ACI codes and standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a fastpaced designbuild environment.
- Excellent problemsolving skills attention to detail and communication abilities.
