Primary Function of Position:
The Training Lab Associate assists with the coordination of orders and maintenance of inventory. The Training Lab Associate is responsible for cleaning and sterilization of equipment and supports the needs of Program Education and Professional Services.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Administrative
- Assist with the management of da Vinci Systems supplemental equipment and necessary items for training education and special programs
- Assist with maintaining inventory of equipment and da Vinci instruments and accessories
- Maintain laboratory records and filing system
- Assist with coordination of system allocation and bay assignments for trainers veterinary staff and commercial team
- Maintain specimen logs and responds to inquiries regarding general laboratory procedures
Technical
- Cleaning of all instrumentation on a daily basis
- Set up and clean up ATM equipment on a daily basis
- Set up instrument trays for all training sessions on day prior to training
- Organize maintain and manage cleaning and sterilization area
- Troubleshoot laboratory equipment (da Vinci surgical system video equipment electrosurgical units etc.)
- Set up da Vinci Surgical System for training
Qualifications :
Skill/Job Requirements
Background Requirements
- Minimum Bachelors degree required.
- Set up da Vinci Surgical System for training
- Laboratory technician specialist or veterinary technician or equivalent
- Must be able to lift 25kg
- Familiarity with sterile protocol/OR attire
Background Preferences
- Familiarity with national/state regulatory criteria for animal care in lab facilities (IACUC USDA OLAW)
- Familiarity with surgical procedures and surgical training models
- Familiarity with da Vinci systems and accessories
- 35 years experience in an animal research lab or comparable work environment
- Good knowledge of surgical/laboratory terminology equipment materials and procedures as well as the fundamental laboratory methods relating to surgery
