Salary: £23795 per annum
About Burgh Island Hotel
Join an iconic Devon landmark situated on its own tidal island surrounded by golden beaches and silver seas. Built in 1929 expanded in 1932 and now meticulously restored to its 1930s glamour the hotel offers a unique retreat that takes guests back in time for an extraordinary experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the dining room to provide highquality service to guests.
- Serve food and beverages in accordance with the established standards and protocols.
- Prepare tables for service ensuring cleanliness and presentation are up to standard.
- Support wait staff during busy service periods to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Assist in food preparation as required maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and with a positive attitude.
- Ensure that all areas of the dining room are kept clean and tidy throughout service.
- Adhere to policies and procedures regarding food safety and guest service.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 18 years due to alcohol service regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fastpaced environment.
Desired Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not essential.
- Experience in fine dining venues or highvolume restaurants is an advantage.
- Customer service experience is highly beneficial.
