Job Description

Why this role is critical to us: 

The Data Specialist Graduate will play a pivotal role in processing sorting and analyzing large datasets to identify best practices processes and insights. This role is essential for enhancing our data platform improving client delivery and maintaining our position as a market leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret large datasets to extract valuable business insights.
  • Develop data products that provide realtime value.
  • Support client management and delivery through datadriven decisionmaking.
  • Apply analytical and statistical methods to communicate data outputs and patterns.
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy in all deliverables.
  • Develop solutions using custom Python services within the technical framework.
  • Liaise with internal and external departments including the Data Management and Development teams.

Team Structure:

  • Reports to the Head of CDS.
  • Collaborates with Intermediate Developers Senior Developers Senior Business Analysts and the Product Development Manager.
  • Participates in sprint planning sessions every two weeks.
  • Team members are based in Stellenbosch and Johannesburg.

Qualifications :

  • BSc in Computer Science Data Science Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in highpressure situations.
  • Familiarity with SQL and Python is a plus but not required.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
