What You Get To Do:
The Director of Operational Supports is responsible for the overall management and administration of programs/services and new development that serves those with developmental/intellectual disabilities. This includes budget development and implementation rate negotiation licensing strategic evaluation and planning staff development hiring and supervision of program directors and assigned support staff policy development marketing and proposal development. This person will have oversight of service segments to include QA Nursing and the business offices.
Duties of this role include but are not limited to;
- Proactive oversight for all assigned area legal contractual and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Oversees internal and external audit processes.
- Oversee Quality Assurance Initiatives and implements agency and state quality assurance programs.
- Oversees Risk Management and Safety Initiatives
- Initiates and performs activities to ensure compliance with company mission strategic goals and company quality standards
- Establishes good relationships with outside agencies community involvement and civic organizations
- Provides appropriate and timely communication to Senior Director of business opportunities
- Communicates and rolemodels the companys mission values goals
- Communicates operating philosophy and system information updates and strategic direction
- Builds and supports the statewide team
- Monitors and supports direct reports and supervisors in professional development and growth
- Develops oversees and analyzes budgets
- Troubleshoots problem areas as they develop in a timely manner
- Maximizes the use of financial resources through staffing models
- Oversee/participate in the hiring process of all assigned positions in accordance with company policy and local state and federal employment law
- Ensure the implementation of programs to evaluate recognize and develop employees as well as a positive work environment
- Ensure all staff receives training and supervision as needed to meet performance expectations
- Ensure human resources policies and practices are followed
- Promotes a learning environment at all levels
- Reports on the operation key indicators
- Participates in projects as assigned by supervisor
- Act as interim Area Director if vacancies arise
Qualifications :
What Makes You A Great Fit:
- Bachelors degree in Human Services or related field.
- Minimum 7 years experience in the Human Services field with 4 years of progressive management experience required. Experience in residential services preferred
- Must be able to meet Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professionals (QIDP) qualifications demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and be willing to work flexible hours.
- Prior experience providing support and services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
- Must possess sound decisionmaking and communication skills; be responsible professional and flexible.
Hours:
- 40 hours weekly serving multiple programs. The Area Directors schedule must be flexible to accommodate various programs personnel and organizational needs including evening and weekend hours as indicated. Overnight travel may be expected on occasion. Typical hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday Friday
