Job Description

The SIS Academic Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the management and implementation of the Student Information System within an academic institution. This role involves coordinating between academic departments and IT to ensure the effective use of the SIS for student data management reporting and compliance. The coordinator will support faculty and staff in utilizing the system for academic planning registration and student success initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the Student Information System ensuring data integrity and compliance with institutional policies.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to streamline processes related to course registration grading and academic advising.
  • Provide training and support to faculty staff and students on SIS functionalities and best practices.
  • Develop and implement procedures for data entry reporting and analysis to enhance academic operations.
  • Monitor system performance and address any technical issues in collaboration with the IT department.
  • Generate reports and analytics to support decisionmaking and strategic planning in academic programs.
  • Assist in the development of policies related to academic records privacy and data management.
  • Stay current with updates and enhancements to the SIS implementing necessary changes to improve system efficiency.
  • Facilitate communication between academic departments and the IT team to ensure alignment of goals and priorities.
  • Participate in academic committees and initiatives to enhance student success and engagement through effective use of the SIS.



Requirements

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Education Information Technology or a related field from a reputable university.

  • Certification or specialized training in program management or relevant fields is a plus.

Skills:

  • Experience in handling administrative duties and providing support in a dynamic work environment.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups.
  • Strong understanding of student information systems and their applications in higher education.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with a strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

  • Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting abilities to handle unexpected issues and challenges.

Languages & Computer Knowledge:

Proficiency in both English and Arabic is preferred to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
