We are hiring an Enhanced Staff Nurse Emergency Department for a Private Hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Permanent / Fulltime
Responsibilities
- Using assessment skills and strategies to determine the patients needs during admission.
- Thorough and accurate documentation of nursing admission assessments.
- Continuously assess the patients condition.
- Clearly state the patient problems for which nursing care will be provided.
- Create and document a treatment plan based on patients needs and best practices.
- Update the care plan whether written or computerised.
- Provide care under minimum supervision in a timely accurate and safe manner.
- Maintain a safe atmosphere for all patients visitors and staff.
- Advocate as needed for the patients preserving their dignity and confidentiality.
- Function efficiently in an emergency.
- Adapt to changing workloads.
- Know and practise within legal restrictions especially those set forth by the NMBI.
- Evaluate and update care plans appropriately
Requirements
- Possess a complete registration in the NMBImaintained Register of Nurses General Division.
- Evidence of personal and professional development
- Ongoing skills training related to care necessary for patient caseload
- Have at least three years recent relevant postregistration nursing experience (fulltime or equivalent hours parttime) in an acute hospital setting with at least one years Emergency Department nursing experience.
