Position Highlights & Compensation:
- Hours: Fulltime Monday to Friday 11:00 am 7:30 pm with every 4th weekend oncall.
- Salary: $19/hr $28/hr depending on experience.
- Full benefits package and a $10K signon bonus.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Central Service Technician (CRCST) from a nationally recognized organization required or to be obtained within one year of hire.
- Current CPR (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform decontamination cleaning assembling packaging sterilization scanning storage and distribution of reusable instrumentation and equipment.
- Follow all regulatory/accrediting body requirements (OSHA CDC AAMI IAHCSMM The Joint Commission).
- Identify and manage specialty instruments supplies and equipment for surgical services.
- Monitor and adjust par levels of supplies in the Central Sterile area.
- Maintain a clean work area and sterilization records.
- Perform biological testing of sterilization equipment and manage endoscope reprocessing.
- Ensure functionality of instruments and requisition repairs or replacements as needed.
- Collaborate with Perioperative Supply and Equipment Specialist for loaner equipment as necessary.
- Inservice staff and act as a resource regarding new instruments.
