Job Description
A well established company is currently recruiting for a Draughtsman in Ghana
Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and detailoriented Draughtsman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings plans and designs for a range of projects. You will work closely with engineers architects and other team members to translate conceptual designs into clear precise and executable drawings.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5 years of proven experience as a Draughtsman or in a similar role (preferably in industry e.g. construction engineering architecture etc.).
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Revit or similar tools).
- Strong understanding of technical drawing principles building codes and standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot design issues.
- Optional: Degree/Diploma in Drafting Engineering Architecture or a related field.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Knowledge of 3D modelling software (e.g. SolidWorks SketchUp) is a plus.
- Familiarity with industryspecific software/tools is an advantage.
- A proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed technical drawings based on specifications sketches and verbal instructions from engineers.
- Create and update 2D and 3D CAD drawings (AutoCAD Revit or other relevant software).
- Ensure that all designs and plans adhere to industry standards codes and regulations.
- Review and check technical drawings for accuracy completeness and compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with technical managers project managers engineers and other departments to ensure designs meet project needs and timelines.
- Modify and revise designs based on feedback from team members and clients.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including drawings specifications and reports.
- Attend project meetings as required to understand project goals and contribute to the development process.
- Assist in the preparation of design proposals and presentations for clients.
- Ensure all drawings are properly archived and stored for future reference.
