Job Description

Bookkeeper PT 16 hrs per week

Our client a thriving care home business are seeking a Bookkeeper to join their friendly team on a permanent part time basis.

A Communitydriven care provider with awardwinning homes and a compassionate team that provides personcentred care. Having launched in 2019 our client has grown its footprint across the South and Southwest of England and plans to continue this journey in the future.

They are committed to delivering the highest standard of care and ensuring the wellbeing and happiness of their residents. As part of their dedication for excellence they are seeking a passionate and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team.

The successful applicant will:

  • Produce monthly management reports and assist the CFO with annual and quarterly budgeting.

  • Complete financial statement reconciliation and VAT returns.

  • Complete monthly invoicing including direct debit management (outsourced system).

  • Complete monthly payroll for the group supported by outsourced payroll bureau.

  • Manage remittances from and liaise with different Local Authorities and the NHS.

  • Use Xero/HubDoc software to collate upload and process monthly supplier payments.

  • Lead the relationships and manage supplier contracts and commercials.

  • Assist the CFO in integrating accounts of newly acquired homes.

  • Engage with other stakeholders in the business to ensure smooth daytoday financial operations of each care home.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in similar role.

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Business Administration would be preferable.

  • An understanding of UK Employment Law is desirable but not necessary.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software.

  • Confident user of technology and ability to learn new software.

  • Advanced knowledge of the Xero accounting system.
