About the Job
SSENSE is looking for a Senior Developer passionate about developer tooling to join our growing technology team. Youll significantly impact the developer experience by building and maintaining essential internal tools shaping our CI/CD landscape and automating code generation to improve productivity and consistency. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in a fastpaced environment. You will also contribute to knowledge sharing recruitment and mentoring junior developers.
What you will do:
- Product delivery: Write testable efficient and reusable code suitable for continuous integration and deployment respecting best practices and SSENSE development standards
- Ownership and accountability: Be accountable for code quality with the assistance of a QA Analyst by conducting adequate testing
- Knowledge sharing and coaching: Mentor junior developers through code reviews contribute to internal learning platforms and participate in onboarding to foster continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
- Architecture: Contribute to solution designs challenging other members on technical decisions and explaining the technical design to junior developers so they can write documentation for the rest of the team
- Recruiting: Participate in HR recruiting events helping to identify and recruit top developers
Qualifications :
5 years of software development experience preferably with a Bachelors or Masters degree in a related field.
Proficient in coding complex features using Typescript/React/NodeJS/Python with experience in backend development and REST APIs.
Experience with containerization (Docker) orchestration (Kubernetes) microservices and eventdriven architecture.
Skilled in CI/CD practices (e.g. Jenkins Travis) PostgreSQL at scale caching technologies (Redis) and cloud resources (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Strong testing practices (unit contract integration E2E) Git proficiency and excellent communication skills. Familiarity with Domain Driven Design is a plus.
