Position Overview:

Support analyze and maintain realtime specific environments and tools used within the Switching Department.

Have excellent problemsolving skills in order to identify issues timeously and to resolve any reported problems. Assess the severity of the incident or problem and determine an appropriate approach to resolving problems. Offer world class service to clients and internal stakeholder teams.



Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Support and maintain production and UAT switching environment upgrade security disaster recovery hotcards bins etc;
  • Implement and support new switching environment features.
  • Ensure open and clear communication channels are established with all clients at a technical level;
  • Ensure that communication channels with all stakeholders at a technical level i.e. Banks suppliers and customers etc;
  • Ensure that feedback is given to both senior management and clients;
  • Investigating production related queries as raised by business or external parties;
  • Ensure that adequate testing has taken place before implementing new systems or changes to existing systems;
  • Setup and configure Disaster Recovery (DR);
  • Ensure that periodic tests are executed at the DR site;
  • Ensure that failover procedures are documented and kept up to date;
  • Ensure that all technical documentation is current and freely available;
  • Ensure that all processes are documented;
  • Test any new system releases / upgrades from Development or Service Providers;
  • Ensure that a testing schedule and procedure is available;
  • System Maintenance (Production and Test);
  • Database management and maintenance;
  • Provide process enhancements and recommendations;
  • Automate monthly system reports for customers and management;
  • Responsible for recurring system changes on customer environments;
  • Provide solid technical foundation to/across all of our customer environments;
  • Proactively manage the environments withing the department;
  • Ensure that all incidents are logged and effectively managed resolved and escalated if necessary;
  • Identify trends across customer base and feedback observations and assessments; and
Revision of technical documentation and specifications as part of the troubleshooting process and contributing to the Knowledge base.
  • Support all members within the team and be the senior technical advisor on complex technical items;
  • Analysis and scoping of mandated requirements or changes and/or new solutions from a technical standpoint;

Qualification and Certification:

Education and Experience

57 years experience with ACI product support and implementation;

Proven track record for detailed investigation analysis with extensive troubleshooting experience of realtime applications;

Providing after hours support for multiple ACI software platforms troubleshooting and periodic maintenance;

SQL Administration and SQL scripting experience will be an advantageous;

Linux and Windows OS skills advantageous; and

SQL Profiler Network sniffers and Windows Performance Monitor.


Skills and Behavioral Competencies

Have good verbal and written communication skills at a technical and business level depending on audience;

Be selfdriven and have high energy levels;

Be organized and assertive and the ability to work under pressure;

Be a logical thinker; and

Be able to work independently with a high level of responsibility

Minimum of 5 years experience in postilion. Proficiency with API testing tools (Postman preferred). Experience with Switching Background in the Financial Services industry (advantageous). Strong SQL skills.
