Job Description
The Global Transmission Calibration Engineer will be responsible for playing an integral part for developing the customer driving experience as well as optimizing fuel economy.
Key activities include but not limited to:Developing verifying and releasing transmission calibrations for automatic transmission applications
Performing handson invehicle calibration development work
Supporting test trips to verify proper transmission operation across environmental conditions and other assigned powertrain development activities.
In addition this position will work to coordinate activities of global teams conducting various aspects of vehicle development for global markets. This position will work with invehicle test instrumentation ETASINCA calibration tools and mathematical analysis tools such as Matlab to meet objectives. This role is responsible for working with a global team to manage transmission calibration project deliverables for assigned projects.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Prior Automotive Experience (University SAE or other experience is acceptable)
Excellent written and Oral communication skills MSOffice (Word Excel Powerpoint Outlook)
Product Proficiency Desire to perform invehicle test and development work in addition to analysis "desk" work Willingness to work with global teams Will consider experienced candidates and new college graduates
Onsite anywhere from 35 days per week.
