About us
Situated on a unique vantage point with breath taking views over Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables Mountain range Mercure Queenstown Resort offers 148 guests rooms two restaurants a lounge bar and conference facilities. We are growing our diverse team and are looking for a Guest Service Agent/Porter to join our front office team.
About the role
As a Porter youll be at the heart of delivering outstanding guest experiences. Your role will involve providing topnotch service ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable stay. Key responsibilities include:
- Support the smooth operations of the front office department including reception duties providing exceptional lobby services and ensuring security functions are maintained.
- Assist guests with their luggage manage lost property and oversee storage.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of public areas to deliver an outstanding guest experience.

We are looking for someone who brings energy professionalism and a commitment to exceptional service. To succeed in this role youll need to have:
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly approach to assisting guests.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness and organisation in public areas.
- Capable of handling luggage and performing manual tasks.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and engagement skills.
- Previous experience with Opera/Opera Cloud/RTBS (desirable but not essential).
- Flexibility to work between the hours of 10pm and 6:30am on a 7 day rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
