Are you passionate about creating dynamic and engaging content for YouTube Join us at Fireship one of the biggest software engineering and tech channels on YouTube known for its highenergy fastpaced tutorials and breakdowns of programming software development and technology trends. With a loyal following of over 2 million subscribers Fireship specializes in delivering bitesized informative and entertaining tech content that makes complex topics easy to understand.
We are looking for talented and creative Video Editors to join our remote production team on either Freelance or Full time basis. The ideal candidates will have experience in video editing and a strong interest and overall knowledge of technology coding and development. If you have experience creating tutorialbased or techoriented videos this will be a huge advantage.

Tasks
- Play a key role in the production of Fireships YouTube content to increase the quantity and variety of output contributing to the growth and engagement of the audience.
- Manage multiple edit projects concurrently prioritising tasks effectively to meet deadlines and maintain project momentum.
- Proactively source select and import relevant media elements (videos images)
- Collaborate closely with the scriptwriter to understand visual requirements and ensure alignment with the overall storytelling vision.
- Work independently to develop creative visions for video content demonstrating initiative and producing highquality work with minimal guidance.
- Maintain organised project files and documentation to ensure easy access to assets and seamless collaboration with team members.
- Keep up to date with internet culture and news from the tech world.
Requirements
- Proven experience in video editing with a strong portfolio that demonstrates expertise in digital content creation particularly for YouTube.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Premiere Pro After Effects Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Deep understanding of YouTube and other social media platforms including how to optimize content for engagement reach and algorithm performance.
- Strong creative vision with the ability to independently source select and integrate assets including stock footage memes and other visual elements.
- Ability to work independently developing and executing video ideas with minimal guidance and proactively managing your own production process.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with the content creator and scriptwriters ensuring alignment with the overall project vision and tone.
- Strong attention to detail ensuring consistency in the use of fonts colors styles and visual elements as per the Fireship brand while elevating the production value.
- Experience working with programming or techrelated content is highly desirable with the ability to understand complex topics and break them down into digestible engaging video formats.
- Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards of quality and deadlines.
- A passion for technology programming and digital content creation with a keen interest in staying uptodate on industry trends and best practices.
