Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead mentor and develop a team of junior data scientists fostering a culture of innovation collaboration and continuous learning.
- Set clear goals monitor team performance and ensure highquality deliverables.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with data science leads across Asia Pacific to understand their business requirements translate them into actionable data science projects and deliver solutions that address business needs.
- Communicate complex data science concepts and insights effectively to nontechnical stakeholders ensuring alignment on goals and outcomes.
Project & Resource Management
- Oversee the endtoend lifecycle of data science projects including scoping planning execution and delivery.
- Allocate resources efficiently across multiple projects and prioritize initiatives based on business impact.
Technical Expertise & Collaboration
- Act as a technical expert guiding the team in building and deploying advanced analytics predictive models and machine learning solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the data engineering team to ensure seamless integration of data pipelines scalable infrastructure and efficient workflows.
Innovation & Best Practices
- Drive the adoption of best practices in data science methodologies coding standards and model deployment strategies.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the team remains ahead of the curve.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 23 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications :
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Data Science Statistics or a related field. Advanced degrees preferred.
- 10 years of experience in data science including 3 years in a leadership or management role with proven track record of strong people and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record of delivering impactful data science projects in a crossfunctional and geographically dispersed environment.
Technical Skills:
- Strong programming skills in Python R or similar languages.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with big data tools (e.g. Spark Hadoop).
- Expertise in machine learning statistical modeling and data visualization tools.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
