Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and mechanical knowledge particularly in diesel engines and related systems. This role involves diagnosing repairing and maintaining lightduty diesel vehicles and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines including troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Conduct inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Repair or replace components such as air brakes tires and other essential parts.
- Utilize various tools and equipment including forklifts to assist in repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Align wheels and perform tire service as needed to maintain vehicle functionality.
- Solder electrical connections and transmit data for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs services performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and highquality service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role within a dealership or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
- Familiarity with air brake systems and other diesel engine components.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Experience with tire service alignment and general automotive repair practices.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
- Valid drivers license is preferred.
