NBC & Telemundo Connecticut Internships provide students with real world experience and exposure to working in the television news industry. Internships at NBC & Telemundo Connecticut are paid and do not require course credit.
Pay rate is minimum wage.
Responsibilities:
- Provide graphic design support using Adobe Illustrator Photoshop or After Effects
- Fill production assistant role on commercial and news promotion shoots
- Market the stations by occasionally working in the community booths at a variety of sponsored walks and festivals
Qualifications :
- Experience in graphic design using Adobe Illustrator Photoshop or After Effects
- Knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro is desirable
- Experience with MS Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook preferred
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be actively enrolled in a degreegranting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress
- Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal
- INPERSON Must be willing to work at the station in West Hartford CT
Desired Characteristics:
- Detailed oriented by nature
- Strong understanding of graphic design.
- Knowledge of animation 3D and/or photography will be considered.
- Comfortable working on multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to find creative solutions to projects
- Students with class standing of junior or above preferred
- Spanish language skills
- Responsible punctual creative and professional
