Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CNC Field Service Engineer to join a growing CNC manufacturing company in Mundelein IL. This role involves conducting field service at customer facilities troubleshooting and maintaining CNC tool and cutter grinding machines. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform field service operations ensuring CNC grinding machinery functions efficiently and is wellmaintained.
  • Provide onsite phone and email support to customers troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.
  • Install and set up CNC grinding machines at customer facilities.
  • Conduct repairs including mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Travel up to 80% within the USA Canada and Mexico to meet customer needs.
  • Interpret and utilize mechanical electrical and other technical drawings effectively.
  • Assist customers in identifying parts maintenance requirements and resolving technical queries.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience:

    • At least 3 years of technical field service experience with CNC grinding machinery.
    • Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
    • Familiarity with CNC machine installation and repair processes.
  • Skills:

    • Strong mechanical aptitude and a handson approach.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings including electrical and fluid power circuits.
    • Effective communication skills to provide clear guidance to customers.
  • Preferred:

    • Basic knowledge of electrical and fluid power circuits.

Job Highlights

  • Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM with potential travel outside regular hours.
  • Travel: Up to 80% travel within the USA Canada and Mexico.
