Asia Tax & Financial Accounting team is part of a Global Support Division responsible for the preparation and submission of indirect and direct tax filings and statutory account filings for Asian group entities. The role will be based in Shanghai responsible for ensuring a high standard of service delivery in line with agreed timelines.
You must ensure that all company policies are adhered to. You must also ensure that duties are carried out within set time limits whilst providing an excellent level of service to all Informa customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager Tax & Financial Accountant is expected to assume the following key responsibilities plus any other reasonable duties as required:
- Prepare and submit Indirect tax returns to a high standard in line with timetable for multiple jurisdictions across Asia
- Prepare draft statutory accounts with clear and concise working files
- Ensure all relevant queries are followed up in a timely manner
- Ensure all journals are posted monthly and tax balance sheet reconciliations are completed to a high standard and to deadline
- Prepare annual FBT returns if required
- Prepare and submit withholding tax returns
- Prepare total tax contributions for direct and indirect taxes
- Complete detailed analysis of general ledger codes for use in the tax returns
- Assist with the collation and provision of information to tax advisors for outsourced tax returns
- Liaise with advisors as appropriate
- Assist with obtaining certificates of residence from tax authorities
- Prepare draft statutory accounts with clear and concise working files
- Assist with the iXBRL tagging of the statutory accounts
- Assist with preparation of information for tax and financial audits and requests from tax offices
- Prepare adhoc Statistical returns
- Assist with adhoc VAT and withholding tax queries
- Assist with preparation of information for internal and external stakeholders on an adhoc basis
- Assist with system testing for VAT rule changes and setting up new VAT registrations as required
- Assist with adhoc project work as required
Qualifications :
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong academic background Accounting degree preferable
- Qualified accountant (CICPA CTA) will be an advantage
- Good working knowledge and understanding of SSC processes and how these fit into the wider environment
- Good understanding of all Tax & Financial Accounting processes including best practice in Tax & Financial Accounting people processes and technology
- Ability to manage the deadline and priorities whilst delivering a high standard of work and supporting junior members when they require assistance.
- Evidence of making decisions at the right time based on the information available.
