Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as the Head of Risk and Compliance. This leadership role is critical to ensuring the company s operations remain compliant with regulatory requirements while proactively managing risk to protect the organization s reputation and assets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the fintech industry a deep understanding of Ghana s regulatory environment and the ability to develop and implement effective risk management and compliance frameworks.
Skills :
Risk Management
Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework tailored to the fintech industry.
Identify assess and mitigate operational financial compliance and strategic risks.
Monitor emerging risks in the fintech landscape and recommend proactive measures.
Regular risk assessments and audits should be conducted to ensure effective controls are in place.
Provide risk management training and guidance to employees and leadership teams.
Compliance Management
Ensure the company adheres to all relevant local and international regulations including Bank of Ghana and Data Protection Commission guidelines.
Develop implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws regulations and industry standards.
Liaise with regulatory authorities and manage relationships to address compliance matters.
Conduct internal compliance audits and investigations as necessary.
Oversee antimoney laundering (AML) knowyourcustomer (KYC) and data privacy programs.
Leadership and Strategy
Lead and mentor the Risk and Compliance team to ensure high performance and alignment with organizational goals.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to embed a riskaware culture within the organization.
Provide regular reports to the executive team and board on risk and compliance metrics incidents and strategies.
Drive strategic initiatives to improve risk and compliance processes.
