Job Description

Senior Controls Technician Siemens

We’re looking for a Senior Controls Technician to design configure and manage the operation of building control systems ensuring they meet project requirements and owner expectations. This role involves developing complex system programs commissioning tests and troubleshooting to optimize system performance. You’ll also create detailed reports and submittals to communicate design and functionality to customers consultants engineers and technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and configure complex building control systems based on project specifications.
  • Develop flow diagrams sequences of operation bills of materials network layouts and control schematics.
  • Create and test software programs to ensure proper system operation.
  • Oversee the creation of drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
  • Load and commission system and networklevel controllers validating full system functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in collaboration with subcontractors and other trades.
  • Provide field change updates for asbuilt drawings software modifications and change orders.
  • Keep the Project Manager and stakeholders informed about project progress and challenges.
  • Train building owners and operators on system functionality.
  • Continuously develop expertise in Tridium Siemens and Distech control systems through ongoing training.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience designing and commissioning complex building automation systems.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC control systems and network architecture.
  • Proficiency in control programming and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and customer interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project teams.
