We are seeking a dynamic Audit Senior to join our Global Internal Auditing team in Manchester. As an Audit senior you will play a pivotal role in providing independent and objective assurance to enhance our companys operations guided by the philosophy of adding value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in individual audit assignments from planning to the issuance of audit reports.
- Conduct financial and operational audits to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls in alignment with company audit strategies.
- Contribute to the development of internal auditing standards and methodology based on robust risk assessment techniques.
- Foster companywide compliance with internal and external regulations promoting the use of best practice business processes and internal controls.
- Responsible for specific areas of an assignment from initial interview through to issue identification and agreed action plan.
Qualifications and required experience
- Bachelors / Masters in business administration finance economics related field and / or a professional auditing / accounting qualification e.g. ACCA CIA CIMA CMIIA.
- Broad experience in auditing or combination of auditing and controlling.
- Solid experience in either internal or external audit or in controlling in an international environment with proven adaptability to different cultures.
- Experience in the understanding and ability to effectively communicate financial and operational results as well as a good understanding of risk management techniques.
- Knowledge of internal control frameworks within business processes and the operation of key business processes.
- Fluent in English the company language with excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Flexibility to travel regularly sometimes at short notice.
Additional Information :
Travel up to 40% travel as part of the role sometimes at short notice.
Site Details
The role is based in our Syngenta Manchester office Didsbury Manchester. This is a hybrid contract with a minimum 2 days per week to be worked in the office with remote working available for the remainder of the week (for the first few months there will be a requirement to spend additional days per week onsite as part of your onboarding) however there will be instances where more time in the office is required. The site is a local hub for worldwide operations ensuring growers globally have access to the right product at the right time.
