Job Description
As part of our journey to transform ourselves and elevate H&M through our Brand Plan we are creating a new Strategy Innovation and Business Development function. The purpose of the new function is to accelerate our brand plan ambitions and collaborate across business functions to simplify and create clarity for teams working towards our common direction.
The new function consists of 3 units which work as a unified strategic muscle around our core business internally including mobilization of business development needs and execution of the strategy future growth.
Strategy Unit focuses on securing a clear common direction and strategic plan ensuring clarity and alignment across the organization on what to deliver on.
Business Development and Delivery Unit focuses on identifying development priorities based on strategy and shape and run core programs with the right competence to mobilize engage and support the organization to deliver as well as track progress.
Innovation Unit focuses on setting our innovation agenda based on strategy be the antenna to the outside world and go after disruptive opportunities that have the potential to become scaled innovation.
This role will be sitting in the Innovation Unit.
Role Overview
A Business Designer is a business thinker with a design mindset. This role focuses on equipping current and emerging business models with tools to design prototype and validate new business methods. The individual is accountable for aligning business strategies with design to create impactful sustainable solutions. They must balance creative thinking and business acumen to address complex challenges and enhance value realization.
In this role the Business Designer drives market analysis identifies growth opportunities manages risk and develops innovative business models. Success in this role requires a mix of strategic thinking analytical skills and creative problemsolving while also ensuring ethical sustainable business practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Value Realization: Ensure value is realized on returns on investment.
- Facilitate Design Process: Lead the development of design processes.
- Orchestrate Activities: Organize and align multiple stakeholders and teams to achieve business goals.
- Tailor Operational Approach: Drive operational efficiency and growth.
- Sustainability & Ethics: Align business solutions with ethical and sustainable practices.
- Budgeting: Manage financial resources for business initiatives.
- Partner Management: Foster and manage external partnerships.
- Team Leadership: Lead crossfunctional teams for business outcomes.
- Stakeholder Management: Ensure collaboration with key stakeholders.
- KPI Management: Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure business alignment.
- Opportunity Scouting: Identify and evaluate new business opportunities.
- Innovation Metrics: Define and track success of new initiatives.
- Champion Change: Drive transformational change within the organization.
- CustomerCentric Solutions: Ensure business solutions align with customer needs.
- Risk Management: Develop strategies to mitigate potential risks.
- CrossIndustry Awareness: Stay uptodate with emerging technologies and trends.
