Job Description
Position Title: Local Medical Technician
Location: Bridgeport WV 26330
Pay Rate: $18/hr
Duration: 05 weeks contract
Guarantee Hours: 36
Shift: 6:00 PM 6:00 AM
Job Summary:
Perform and analyze clinical laboratory tests across various disciplines following standard operating procedures. Understand method principles perform quality control conduct preventive maintenance and review results for accuracy and critical limits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and analyze samples promptly ensuring accurate identification.
- Operate maintain and adjust laboratory instruments per established protocols.
- Implement appropriate quality control measures and adhere to infection control procedures.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures as needed.
- Complete documentation and report findings to healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret patient lab results.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate of Science (AAS) degree in Medical (Clinical) Laboratory Technology or Science or an associate degree in a physical chemical or biological science with one year of clinical lab training/experience.
- Licensure: For West Virginia labs WV Licensure as a Laboratory Technician (MLT) within 90 days of hire.
- Certification (Preferred): Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT).
- Experience: Previous experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician is preferred.

- Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations.
- Effective communication skills.
- Teamoriented with strong collaboration skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
