Our client is a tech startup offering growth services to mobile app businesses. They are now looking for a General Manager for a Gaming business unit to plan develop and execute the strategy for scaling their publishing business. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of the mobile gaming industry. This is a remote position from Europe or a US East Coast location.
Tasks
- Plan and execute yearly and quarterly strategies
- Oversee and manage the OKRs system to ensure business unit objectives align with revenue goals
- Take ownership of the P&L for the Gaming business unit making strategic decisions business strategy staffing resource allocation organizational structure and overall performance
- Maintain a bigpicture mindset balancing risk quality and business tradeoffs in decisionmaking
- Serve as the visionary leader for the business aligning internal teams and external partners toward shared goals
- Foster a culture of accountability discipline and open communication
- Proactively identify and eliminate roadblocks ensuring smooth operations and the progress of the team
- Recruit mentor and lead highperforming teams cultivating a worldclass talent pool
- Identify new opportunities in real gaming/competition games markets leveraging cuttingedge technologies and resources
- Lead core teams across Product Monetization User Acquisition and ASO
- Direct report to the CEO
Requirements
- A seasoned leader with a mix of creative technical and managerial expertise in real gaming/competitive games space (mandatory)
- 5 years of experience managing P&Ls; prior leadership experience and working closely with Csuite
- Proven success in overseeing and launching casual games
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to effectively lead a mildly distributed team
- Strong strategic vision coupled with the ability to inspire and develop highperforming teams
- Comfort working in an agile fastpaced environment and collaborates well with various work styles
- Outstanding communication skills along with strong project management abilities and working effectively under deadlines and in complex business environments
- Full professional level of English
- A degree in marketing analytics or a related field / MBA or masters degree in management technology or finance (preferred but not required)
