JD for Denials SMC (Specialty Medical Coding)

Job Title: Denials SMC Specialist

Location: Chennai Bangalore Hyderabad Trichy Salem Pune

Experience: 1 to 5 years

Salary: 25000 to 65000 per month

Educational Qualification:

  • Mandatory: Life Sciences Graduate
  • Certification: Certification in Specialty Medical Coding or Denials Management is required.

Job Overview:
We are hiring an experienced Denials SMC Specialist to handle specialtyspecific denial cases ensuring accurate analysis and resolution while maintaining compliance with medical coding standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and resolve denials in specialty medical coding areas (e.g. radiology cardiology oncology).
  2. Address specialtyspecific coding discrepancies to minimize claim rejections.
  3. Liaise with healthcare providers for documentation and clarification.
  4. Prepare and submit corrected claims to payers as needed.
  5. Ensure adherence to specialty coding guidelines and regulatory updates.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in specialty medical coding (e.g. radiology cardiology oncology).
  • Strong problemsolving and attentiontodetail skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
