Summary: The State of Michigan is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a highpriority legacy modernization project for the Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS). Responsibilities:
- Manage project schedules budgets and resources using the State of Michigans Clarity Project Portfolio Management Tool.
- Develop and maintain key project documentation including project charters schedules budgets communication plans and status reports.
- Monitor and communicate project progress ensuring timely and accurate updates to stakeholders.
- Lead crossfunctional teams and foster collaboration among technical and business units.
- Ensure compliance with the SUITE Project Management Methodology (PMM) and System Engineering Methodology (SEM).
- Oversee vendor deliverables and ensure adherence to contracts and the deliverable approval process.
- Facilitate change management processes and create Corrective Action Plans when necessary.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in IT project management including multivendor environments.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Clarity or similar systems.
- Exceptional communication leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with SUITE PMM and SEM methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively in hybrid work environments balancing onsite and remote collaboration
