Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Transportation Planner to be based in Bloomfield NJ
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct technical analysis to support transportation and environmental planning studies mobile source air quality conformity determinations and longrange plans.
- Prepare and presents detailed reports on development proposals to government bodies.
- Collect a variety of statistical data and prepares reports and maps on topics such as census information land use transportation network base data and occupancy rates.
- Provide information to the public regarding development regulations.
- Perform emission model runs for air quality inventory and emission rates development.
- Conducts data analysis for large data sets including preparations for GIS and analytical software.
- Utilize GIS to produce maps and tables of data to support of transportation and land use analysis.
- Assist with updates and maintenance of Transportation Improvements Plan and State Implementation Plan.
- Prepare administrative technical or statistical reports on trafficoperations accidents safety and transportation system performance measures.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Urban Planning or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Transportation Planning and Engineering.
- Transportation experience
- Write/update software codes related to transportation analysis
- Database management to support mobile sources emission estimates air quality and greenhouse gas analysis of onroad vehicles.
- Data analytic and computer skills.
- Programming and creating executables in Alaska and/or Python to support transportation performance measures and emission estimates in batch mode.
- GIS mapping of regional performance measures and emissions using transportation network.
- Modifies applications from detailed specifications to solve problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations operating time and form of desired results.
- Writes and presents formal and technical reports working papers and correspondence.
- Support planning studies and reports for new and updated environmental plans programs and regulations.
