About the Role
Were seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team in Sydney. In this pivotal role youll be responsible for delivering accurate and competitive pricing for major civil tunnels road maintenance and M&E projects playing a key part in our continued success and growth. Collaborating with operational and commercial teams youll ensure bids are not only competitive but also reflect best practices and innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil tunnels stabilisation and M&E projects covering both new tenders and contract renewals.
- Analyse project plans drawings and specifications to identify costsaving opportunities and optimise project delivery.
- Collaborate with project managers engineers and subcontractors to secure optimal pricing for materials labour and equipment.
- Use industryleading estimating software such as Benchmark Candy or Expert Estimation to ensure precision and efficiency.
- Mentor and guide junior estimators fostering a culture of professional growth and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with clientspecific standards in tender submissions.
- Participate in bid reviews presentations and negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
- Monitor and track project costs throughout the project lifecycle ensuring alignment with budgets and objectives.
What Youll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering Quantity Surveying Construction Management or a related field or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in estimating within the civil tunnels or M&E sectors.
- Proficiency in using Benchmark Candy or Expert Estimation with advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes materials and methods.
- Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities meet tight deadlines and maintain highquality standards.
- Excellent communication leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and mentor team members.
