Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Tower Hamlets to assist with the appointment of a Senior Transformation Project Manager on a 11.5month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 748.00 1022.13 per Day
Responsibilities:
- Scope plan and implement our most complex strategic projects working closely with Project Sponsors from across the council.
- Design and implement project governance and controls to ensure effective delivery and maintain appropriate accountability.
- Ensure that financial savings and investments in projects are effectively identified tracked analysed and monitored.
- Ensure project approach is based on robust business cases that are properly evidenced through research process mapping analysis modelling and testing as appropriate
- Setup lead and facilitate project team meetings workshops working groups etc in line with the needs of the project.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience of initiating and leading complex projects with significant change management elements within a large political organisation.
- Recognised formal practitioner qualifications in project and programme management or similar by experience (e.g. MSP APM Agile PM DSDM PRINCE2 certified change management or equivalent).
- Advanced IT skills in relation to Word PowerPoint Excel MS Project Visio or other project tools
